Dave Johnson is a co-founder and creative head at Salt Entertainment.  He will be the director of the D. James Kennedy documentary film. In the two plus decades he has worked in Hollywood, Dave has created, produced, written, or directed nearly a half billion dollars worth of entertainment.

In his career, he e has collaborated with some of Hollywood's top names (including teaming up with Steven Spielberg to Co-Create and Executive Produce Dream Works' premier television production - the ABC hit drama,  (High Incident). He has created product (in both television and movies) for virtually every major entertainment company, including Disney, Paramount, Sony, Warner Brothers, DreamWorks, MGM, Fox, NBC, CBS, and others.​​

For the faith market, he created  and produced the two biggest shows for PAX-TV, Doc, and Sue Thomas F.B.i.  He was executive producer for the Erwin Brothers' hits October Baby and Moms' Night Out, and worked with the Erwins on their recent film, Woodlawn.  In the past few years he produced and directed two additional films, Coffee Shop, which first aired on UPTV, and Vanished: Left Behind Next Generation​, a theatrical release.


Steve McBeth is a co-founder and the business head at Salt Entertainment. In his role, he has overall responsibility for business operations at the company, including marketing and business development for Salt titles. Also, as part of his duties at Salt Entertainment, Steve was business advisor to Jon and Andy Erwin, producers and directors of the films ​October Baby, Moms' Night Out, and Woodlawn.

Steve was a senior executive with the Walt Disney Company for 18 years, and was the founding president of Disney Interactive Worldwide, the division responsible for all Internet and online operations, computer games and CD-ROM products. He was also president for the Disney Consumer Products division for nearly a decade, with operating responsibility for all merchandise, publishing, music and ancillary consumer business operations for the Walt Disney Company.

Jim Carlson- Founder of Providence Entertainment Group. Jim is a past CEO of D. James Kennedy Ministries and a member of the Board of Directors for over four decades. ​His background is in the computer industry, serving with IBM, GE, and his own companies.  He co-founded HSI in 1992, and as CEO, led the company to the INC Magazine 500 Fastest Growing US companies for three years in a row.  HSI had 630 employees in 37 offices thruout the world.

Julie Carlson- President of Providence Entertainment Group. Jim’s daughter, Julie, is an attorney, oversees all elements of the project, including the partnership with Salt Entertainment, who will produce, market and distribute the movie.

Dr. David Todd- VP Strategic Relationships and Funding. David has a long and deep relationship with the
D. James Kennedy ministry and has had 2 stints working for Evangelism Explosion. David has also been a pastor, both at a church in Ft. Lauderdale, and later at a church start-up in Macon, Georgia.

Faith Films - Family Friendly

Providence Entertainment Group is teaming with Dave Johnson and Steve McBeth from Salt Entertainment Group on the new family faith film, "Dancing to Heaven", the story of D. James Kennedy.  A film has not been produced about an American Pastor since the box office hit - "A Man Called Peter" in 1955.  Peter Marshall was the Pastor of the New York Avenue Presbyterian Church in Washington, DC, and the Chaplin of the U.S. Senate.  Many feel that the time is right for the story about America's most listened to Presbyterian pastor to be told.
